Postpartum Doula Support

A Postpartum Doula is a non-clinical support person that provides non-judgmental and evidenced-based information. A doula’s goal is to provide reliable and factual information on concepts such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic new born care to support a couple’s transition to parenthood or adjusting to life with multiple children.

Weekly Support

Navigating postpartum is hard enough but you don’t have to do it alone. You got questions, I have answers. I understand that you may not need hands on support with your little one but have many unanswered questions. Is my baby eating enough? How many wet diapers should there be in the day? Why are they crying? When will my menstrual cycle return after childbirth? No need to go down the google rabbit hole; support is just a text or call away. I will provide you with evidence-based resources and information to help you feel empowered and confident to care for you, your newborn, and growing family. The best part about this plan is that you decide when you would like support throughout your postpartum journey whether that is the first week you bring baby home, or three months later.

 FAQs.

A postpartum doula provides non-judgemental and evidenced-based information on concepts such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic new born care. A postpartum doula can meet you during pregnancy (or she may meet you once baby has arrived) to support you with preparing for life with your new baby. The postpartum needs can vary from family-to-family but you can always expect the professional support from Daisy Doula Birth Services.

Postpartum Doulas do not diagnosis any potential health concerns with mom or baby and they do not provide heavy house keeping.

Postpartum doulas can have many kinds of training that may include; breastfeeding trainings, and a doula training from DONA or CAPPA. In addition, they may have an education in various other areas such as healthcare.

After the birth of your baby it is always amazing to have the support from your family and friends but this also comes with challenges. Although you value your loved one’s personal experiences and opinions, they may not have the knowledge and ability to provide unbiased support that a doula can provide.

I support all feeding methods and make sure to provide continuous communication to adapt to your infant feeding changes that you may experience during postpartum and provide support and guidance accordingly.
